Image Succession three is coming up

The passed few months i have been really paying closer attention to where i am putting my  energy and how that effects my health. The passed week and a half or so i did my first Ayurvedic cleanse (a summertime cleanse with Scott Blossom  htt://www.shunyatayoga.com ) I wanted to take a closer look  into my ‘goings on’ in order to keep creating, to honor the creative work. I upturned the entire week to see what would surface… cleansing….

Always digging around in the shadows, ignoring the middle ground… always looking forward and looking back… surfacing… to feel complete must include getting hands dirty. This is why constantly search for live/work space. The ebb and flow of all the different mediums, the constructs of life, keep me nourished. Don’t get me wrong, i appreciate 100% of the creative work that comes my way, every single moment… i just have a need to paint that is as strong as the need to press the shutter…

What is Image Succession?

~ it’s a day long photo opportunity that i am starting to do at The Bus Stop Gallery at the minimum once a month. the backdrop started white and is working its way towards black, my way…- the backdrop will continue and each time Image Succession happens the backdrop will have been modified in some way… working…. towards…. growth…. recycling materials.

Why do i do it?

~for a couple of reasons

1. i love a process. and working in this way is envigorating for me. not only  am i taking images,  i am also working on a mixed media piece to be shown along with a select group of  these images after it has developed for quite a few months- moving from light to dark.

2. i keep hearing how much people need photography to help out their businesses in a very hard time, but that the catch is they are having o much trouble that they can’t actually affordto invest ina  full session. so, my response to that is this project. a day where you can come and get the photography you need in smaller, more affordable increments.

to keep the project progressing, repeat clients are encouranged~ and will receive a discount.

SPECIAL PROJECT

The JUNE 13th shoot day includes a special project intended for a different showing. for this saturday i am looking for some yoga practitioners to come by and do their favorite bound asana – on me. for the showing – there will be no recognizable facial features. you can do up to three postures, must be bound and be able to hold the pose for me to take some pictures, i’m pretty quick- so think of fun stuff! for each pose you do, you will receive an online version to use anywhere online of what i will be working from as well as a file to print from- {note:  you may not use these images for promotional printing, only personal prints may be made, as well the image- both print and online forms will come with the faernworks logo as well as the title of the gallery  project}

note: attendees are encouraged to bring an umbrella or a lamp…

1. $65 for15- 20 minutes – you choose from an array of pics and get 4 edited on cd, additional edits are $10 this works well if you just need a new head shot for your business or are looking to start documenting a pregnancy.
2. $125 for a bout a half hour- same as above except you get 9 edits
3. $250 for 1hr and a few minutes, with time for changing – 18 edits (this is a discounted hourly rate)
