at this point in my life, a few things rule the roost – the roost being my studio~ in which i live, work, have a relationship in, as well as a cat~ a pretty fat one at that. we have a lot going in this teeny studio as a group~ but, just me alone i work on a couple lifetimes of things… in the current stage of creation, the mixed media work rules~ has control of the goings on… not only do they need nice resting space to dry, *when* they dry is more a part of the equation … if they are dry, they are ready for another work session and it has to be done right then~ before i go into my other job or when i get home, the crack of dawn, 1 am- doesn’t matter- the time is theirs. they are the first thing i look at when i get here, the last thing i look at when i leave- no matter where i have been… they are in control, firmly
yesterday i just had to stop editing
i mean, its not like i am editing all day long, that would be nice, but its not what is happening. but every once in a while my brain just wont run photoshop. i love photoshop, its my little personal darkroom, i miss the dials and the knobs and the percentages of actual enlargers- but photoshop will do. anyhow. yesterday i had to just not edit. i don’t like when this happens, i have people waiting for images. but my body is in charge. so, i decided i would sand some metal and then i realized i could just ramble here so…. it seems that I am using too much electronical equipment and I just have to have some tactile something going on, and believe me- there are plenty of projects I can pick up at any time…
