I will be in the lounge of “Solstice Restaurant & Lounge” with new ‘Photo Mixed Media’ & ‘Mixed Media’ pieces.

5:30pm to about 9:30pm to check out my newest art (and maybe buy some, bring cash).

Works in progress, some will be done for the show tomorrow!

Most of the work will be “miniature” or “small”, come view work in this unique environment and enter the giveaway!

heavy on San Francisco specific imagery and some pieces include Muni Transfers part of a series called “InterUrban Reflections”!

I am really excited about this, please join me! I had a glass of wine the other night at ‘Solstice’ during happy hour and it was really cheery! (the wine and the environment) So please come join me, check out some art, but some…. (maybe stay for dinner… looked great to me)

What is ‘ART I.S.’ you ask?

   “Art I.S.” = Art Inner Sunset

A volunteer based art group bringing artists in the San Francisco Inner Sunset neighborhood out of the fog, as well as bringing more arts into the area.

This showing is in collaboration with ‘Everybody Bikes‘

Now, to be quite honest, this showing really fell into my lap, which was just great! My content just fit right into place- which is nice- and a little bit of a transformation in its own right. First off- I havn’t shown any of my oil paintings in a really long time, which was a choice i made when i started diving more fully into my photo Mixed Media (whic is also in the show- and much more current in creation). So when Tanya requested the Oil Paintings along with the Photo Mixed Media – I really had to take a moment and see … “Is this Okay…?” Honestly, I have wanted all the mediums i work in together for quite some time- So, this hapening in this way doesn’t surprise me. And allowing for it is the only way. it’s just strange because i havn’t painted with my oils for a few years now- which has been hard enough- so to prep them for teh show was an interesting moment of moving through. Do not get me wrong, I am THRILLED to show them… It’s motion in action… granted, they are notnext to each other in the show, which is a good thing. anyhow, I digress per usual…

Making work “On Transportation” and allowing it to transport myself, no matter how cheese ball that might sound to you, that’s a yoga thing i guess…

The mixed media (above) I am showing are all from my project entitled ‘InterUrban Reflections‘ which is a project based on my city photography and/or transportation related materials- in this case- transfers.

I had fun sourcing my used transfers via twitter  with the help of Muni Diaries (whom is also involved in the show!)
