The past few weeks have been in the least a whirlwind, but it’s not like anything HUGE is happening right now, but damn there sure are a lot of little things, good and bad, per usual. Each day i am choosing to do new things. My yoga practice is coming along – when I’m consistent especially, which is my aim. I know (some of my friends just groaned because i am pretty darn consistent) but there is still a certain disconnect between practice and going to class…

You may or may not know this, but i am in the process of moving my art studio.I have been walking my things from one studio to the other, around the corner and around the block – or something- anyhow, that’s what I’ve been doing- back and forth…It has been interesting I tell you what. Today I got some adjustable saw horses to have a better work table, I am certainly excited by this- I did get a ride though to get them, and there is already a door for me to use as a table top. I am so excited!

Last weekend I did Spring Open Studios over at the new place and it sure was a great time! Thanks to everyone for making me feel at home! So I didn’t start moving actual work stuff in till like yesterday… with just a little bit left in the month t get out of the other place… oh well!  I am already so much happier I can’t even contain it. 5:30pm to about 9:30pm to check out my newest art (and maybe buy some, bring cash).

Works in progress, some will be done for the show tomorrow!

Most of the work will be “miniature” or “small”, come view work in this unique environment and enter the giveaway!

That I have helped them in some way is such an added bonus, it’s one of those things that can not be explained- words sort of screw it up. Regardless, I am so happy to facilitate personal reflections in this way, each image carries it’s own energy and power and I am so happy to explore this with all of you!

North Beach at Dusk

These days have been a harvest. A turning over of many months of direct work. What has come up and out is an unyielding feeling that if I could just apply a little more focus and speed I wont be able to lose track in the same detrimental way as I am so used to falling into. The I have the creativity, education and execution of process that I need. That my path actually feels like “mine” now and it’s ok to feel this way (which is much more difficult to come to terms with that you think). Most of the time it is difficult to settle into because there is an attachment to it- a mini fear that if I am feeling this way, it will immediately disperse like a dandelion- seed by seed floating away unreachable by finger tips. This flittering is still there, but just as much stays with me as leaves and I feel safe like this.

The other day I awoke in a state that changed my life. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for the people around me. I also cant express how wonderfully astrologically coincidental my “big” healing sessions are (I mean “coincidental”). It seems they always fall right in line with the planets for me, I am so unbelievably in awe of that. If only everything else could just fall in line like that…

"Way Home"

For years I have been watching my surroundings as well as my internal landscape as well as my sheath of a human body wondering from where can all my work come together? I eventually came to the conclusion that, well, it wont until my internal landscape and my sheath start working together.

So I started to re-configure my health, and, in full on grief this is no feat, I stumble often. I fall over in yoga class and laugh, I also take time to cry and breathe- but these have sometimes seemed sort of forced or let’s just say incongruent to what has been happening physically- but I stuck to class no matter how upset I got (if I got there that is). Eventually I found myself a little dependant on my yoga practice, which I have no issue with except that most of what I thought I was cultivating was going towards self sufficiency, not a new form of dependence. “Trust the Practice” this is a statement that is a big part of my life. It implies a certain level of commitment to not only the self, but also a system of getting to know the self. For a long time I have had that statement rattling around my head… “Trust The Practice” thinking I actually understood what that meant. Look at it again… “TRUST the practice” I realized I was stuck on practice… but not on trust.

How am I supposed to cultivate self-sufficiency if I don’t trust myself?

There’s an oxymoron if there ever was one. For any of this to work out I have to flip that around.
